I am a wife, a mom, an artist. I am girly. I am tom-boyish. I enjoy solitude. I am a lover of words and books. I want my art to tell stories.
I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts with an emphasis in Photography from the University of Texas at San Antonio, in 2009. I worked primarily as a portrait photographer from 2009-2015, shooting fashion, editorial, and beauty images, as well as conceptual portraits. Although I still accept commissions of all types, my primary focus, currently, is conceptual portraiture. I also dedicate much of my time to personal work- creating installations in which to photograph models.
I have participated in the Mentorship Program for Communication Arts High School, and acted as a judge for various high school art competitions. My work has been published in over 30 online and print magazines, including San Antonio Beyond Arts and More, Zink Magazine, and the San Antonio Express News. My images are playful and imaginative, finding a balance between fine art and fashion. They are sleek, and polished, with vibrant colors or rich tonal ranges. I am influenced by photographers Richard Avedon and Tim Walker, and contemporary installation artist and photographer Sandy Skoglund, all of whom create narratives within their work.
